I’m in Oregon now, bicycling over the line this afternoon. This is kind of momentous: Having started about 28 months ago in a state that borders on the Atlantic Ocean, I’ve now arrived in one that borders on the Pacific. I’ll get much closer to both oceans before I’m done, but that’s something for now.

My second entry into Idaho lasted 58 days, which added to my first entry comes to a total of 96 days in that state — by a solid margin the largest amount of time I’ve spent in any state so far. (Fear not, though, California is coming! And it’ll blow Idaho out of the water.)

A map showing my progress is here , a spreadsheet with progress detail is here , and a Google Earth KMZ file is in  this Google Drive folder . Present coordinates: 43.910°N, 117.176°W .
